Surroundings
The beautiful small village is situated on a sunny high plateau of the mountain Tschöggl above the health resort and thermal city.
Hafling has 700 inhabitants and is the native village and also the name giver of the famous blond-mane Haflinger horses. Hafling invites you all over the year to a relaxing holiday in untouched nature.
In summer Hafling has the best possibilities for hiking tours. In winter the skiing paradise for the whole family Meran 2000 guarantees with 40km of easy and hard pistes, a toboggan-run, a cross-country skiing piste and a border park for snowboarders, fun for everyone. There is also a ski kindergarten and baby lift for our little guests.
Sights in Hafling
The church of St. Kathrein from the middle of the 13th century (1251) is the emblem of Hafling and is viewable from the whole countryside of Meran. Inside the church are frescos from the 14th century and a lot of sacral treasures like a late gothic Tyrolese wing-altar.
From our house leads a hiking path to the Sufner pond and directly to the church St.Kathrein.
Knottn Kino
Enjoy the "outdoor" cinema in Vöran. The change comes with remaining seated. Main actress is the fascinating world of mountains from Texel to Penegal and Weißhorn. The entrance to the "Knottn Kino" is free at every weather and season.
